I. Chatziisaak graduated from the Department of History and Archaeology, Philosophical School, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She conducted her Master degree at the Faculty of Byzantine studies, Department History and Archaeology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She is an Archivist-Historian at the Historical Archives of Macedonia, General State of Archives. She has written historical studies, also participated in conferences. She is focusing in the history of the Modern Greek state with particular interest in the refugee issue and the communities of the Orthodox populations of Asia Minor. She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Pan-Hellenic Union of Cappadocian Societies. As a radio co-producer she received the Hellenic-Cyprus «radio awards 2012» for the “Memories of Cappadocia” cultural radio-show.
