Bio and Previous Studies:
I was born in 1986 and I live in Bellagio (CO), Italy. I’m currently a Subject Expert in Contemporary History and Subject Expert and Teacher Assistant in Economic History at the Faculty of Scienze della Mediazione Linguistica e Culturale of the University of Milan. I was conferred my PhD in History in July 2016 by the University of Pavia (XXVIII Cycle) I received my MA in History (Scienze Storiche – Laurea Magistrale) by the University of Milan, Summa cum Laude.
Research Interests and Activities:
My current research focuses on the Italian domination over the Dodecanese, especially focused on the debunking of the “good Italians” myth. It fits within my broader interests for Italian Colonialsm, the History of European powers and administrations outside Europe, Italian and European History of the XIX and XX century and the History of Italians abroad. I carried out extensive archival research: Post PhD Research at the GAK archive in Ρόδος (GR) in 2017 and 2018. PhD Research at the Foreign Office Archive in Rome, the Central National Archive in Rome, the Geographical Society Archive in Rome, The City of Milan State Archive, The National Archives UK, The British Library UK (2012-2016). I’m currently working on a number of contributions relating to Italian colonialism.
